Plastic-Free Packed Lunch Heroes

At Wild Child Kitchen, we have been committed to being plastic-free right from the start. We have only used biodegradable, plant-based packaging across our services and we know how tough it can be to find products that are both functional and convenient. With the start of the school term upon us, we’ve rounded up five of our favourite products to help you pack plastic-free lunches for your little foodie.

BeesWrap Wraps  from £10

A beautiful range of natural, reusable beeswax wraps made in the UK - available in different sizes and patterns. We like the Kids Lunch pack of 2 wraps of different sizes. The breathable material helps keep food fresh - particularly good for sandwiches made on crusty bread! Great for in the kitchen to cover food too - use as an alternative to foil or clingfilm.

Pure Kiki Water Bottles from £15

These stainless steel bottles come in lots of colours and sizes, and we love that you can change the lids to suit different life stages. Choose one and it will last your little foodie for years; simply change from bottle to sip cup to straw lid.

Black & Blum Stainless Steel Lunch Pots from £29.95

Black & Blum has a great range of stainless steel lunch accessories. Our favourites are the leakproof stainless steel designs  - including a lunchbox with removable divider and a thermopot for hot/cold dishes which will keep them steaming or chilled for up to 6 hours.  The latter is perfect as we head into the colder months and little foodies need something warm and nourishing at lunchtime.

Elephant Box Twist Duo

Perfect little pots for snacks - portion out dried fruit, crackers or crudités. Dishwasher safe.

Oil Cloth Lunch Bags from Sophie Allport from £18

Madeade from oil cloth rather than plastic, these lunch bags are easy to clean and food safe. We love the “on the farm” and “safari” prints.
